LINEC: Education, Community, and the Joy of Learning

For over 30 years, The Learning Institute of New England College (LINEC) has provided friendly, non-credit, peer-led courses for adults 50+ in the New Hampshire area. We are a totally volunteer-run organization dedicated to the sheer pleasure of learning in a supportive, stress-free environment.

Founded in 1989 in conjunction with New England College, LINEC continues to offer three academic terms each year (Fall, Spring, Summer), covering everything from science and history to literature and the arts. Our new pay-per-course model makes lifelong learning more accessible than ever before.

Our Leadership: The Steering Committee

Our nine-member elected committee guides the direction of LINEC, plans each term, and ensures operations run smoothly. They are dedicated volunteers who keep our institution vibrant.

Our Instructors

Our instructors are the heart of LINEC, bridging generations of wisdom through the simple act of sharing.

Powered by Volunteers: Join Our Effort

LINEC is almost entirely powered by the time and talents of our volunteers—from our expert instructors to those who handle our planning, publicity, and class logistics. If you're looking for a way to contribute to lifelong learning, we'd love to have you.
