Dick Hesse is a long-term stalwart of LINEC. He began teaching and taking LINEC classes beginning in 2001 after retiring from a long career in law. Before teaching at Franklin Pierce School of Law for 25 years, Dick taught law at Boston College while also practicing law. He was a guest lecturer at Harvard and a visiting professor at Temple University and Arizona State.

Not surprisingly, Dick’s many course offerings over the years have focused on his knowledge, history, and interest in the law and related subjects. His courses on important NH historical figures such as John Winant (NH’s 60th Governor) and Daniel Webster, the Supreme Court, and the American Revolution are just a few standouts of the many he’s taught.

Dick also participates in many courses as he enjoys the level of discussion and interest of like-minded folks. His service to the Steering Committee is invaluable as he’s been Vice Chair several times and has served on the Curriculum Committee. At LINEC, we’re grateful for Dick’s involvement, wisdom, and expertise!
